Chebeague Island is located off the coast of Cousins Island, Maine, a ~25 minute drive from Portland, followed by a 15 minute ferry from Cousins to Chebeague. Transportation will be provided to and from the island for the welcome party and wedding. Please see below for details.

Local Airports:

Portland Jetport (PWM)

  • Largest airport in Maine with daily flights from most major airlines. 10 minute Uber to downtown Portland hotels.​

Boston Logan Airport (BOS)

  • <2 hour drive to downtown Portland hotels. The bus from Logan is also a great option (inexpensive and comfortable). 

Welcome Party Transportation:

We are utilizing Chebeague Transport Company (CTC) ferries to and from the island. Tickets will be provided.

Travel to the island:

  • By Shuttle: Meet at the AC Hotel (158 Fore St., Portland) at 5:30p for the 5:45p shuttle bus to the 6:30p ferry to Chebeague.

  • By Car:* Park in the CTC Satellite Parking Lot (address linked here, directly across the street from 1 Thomas Drive, Cumberland Foreside, ME) by 5:45p for the 6:00p shuttle bus to the 6:30p ferry to Chebeague.

Return to the mainland:

  • Ferries depart Chebeague at 9:15p and 10:30p. Shuttle buses will be waiting at the dock on the mainland to transport guests back to the CTC Satellite Parking Lot and the AC Hotel.

Wedding Day Transportation:

We are utilizing CTC ferries to and from the island. Tickets will be provided.

  • By Shuttle: Meet at the AC Hotel (158 Fore St., Portland, ME) at 2:15p for the 2:30p shuttle bus to the 3:15p ferry to Chebeague.

  • By Car:* Park in the CTC Satellite Parking Lot (address is linked here, directly across the street from 1 Thomas Drive, Cumberland Foreside, ME) by 2:30p for the 2:45p shuttle to the 3:15p ferry to Chebeague.

Return to the mainland:

  • The last ferry departs Chebeague at 12:00am. Shuttle buses will be waiting at the dock on the mainland to transport guests back to the CTC Satellite Parking Lot and the AC Hotel.

  • For those wishing to depart before 12:00am, earlier ferries depart at 9:15p and 10:30p. Shuttle buses will be waiting at the dock on the mainland to transport guests back to the CTC Satellite Parking Lot and the AC Hotel starting at 9:15p.

*Additional Details:

  • Parking is not allowed at the CTC ferry dock (178 Wharf Rd., Yarmouth, ME). Instead, guests that drive their own cars should park in the CTC Satellite Parking Lot (located here, directly across the street from 1 Thomas Drive, Cumberland Foreside, ME) and use the CTC shuttle buses that leave from the Satellite Parking Lot.

  • Parking is $20 / day, paid at the kiosk in the middle of the lot. The lot is safe to park in overnight.
